As a Pitchside Therapist you will play a crucial role in ensuring player safety and well being during games and training sessions.Key Responsibilities• Deliver pitchside first aid and injury management during training and games.• Provide immediate assessment, treatment and monitor rehabilitation of sporting injuries.• Communicate with players and coaches to ensure they understand rehabilitation programmes and fitness to play.• Liaise and collaborate with coaches and associated staff.• Maintain relevant medical equipment for use..• Provide basic taping services as required.• Attend meetings to provide updates on player injury status and rehabilitation progress.Desirable skills and Qualifications• Either as a minimum -o Hold the Football Association Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) qualification.• Or ideally -o Hold a Degree in Sports Therapy (SST), Rehabilitator (BASRat) or Physiotherapy (CSP).Person Specification• DBS: Must undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as Under 18 players form part of the squad.• Able to assist with team warm ups and individual fitness testing.• Fitness: able to respond to a medical emergency and perform CPR.• Hold a UK drivers licence with access to a vehicle for travel to away games.• Excellent communication skills.• To meet league rules - willingness to complete the Football Association requisite first-aid qualification at Club expense, (if no higher qualification held, within 3 months of appointment).
