Job Description
British Triathlon is the home of Swim Bike Run and is proud to govern the sports of triathlon, aquathlon, duathlon and aquabike. Our members are the Home Nations of Triathlon England, Triathlon Scotland and Welsh Triathlon Cymru.

We’re searching for an effective, well organised administrator with good knowledge of customer service protocols and a commitment towards achieving excellent customer satisfaction. Our new Customer Support Assistant will deliver quality administrative support and customer service to a range of internal colleagues and teams as well as external customers, deliverers and stakeholders.

You will provide administrative support to our British Triathlon Age Group teams and associated Volunteer Team Managers, including supporting the application and entry process, the process for professional triathlete licences, and answering queries from athletes. Additionally, you’ll provide operational support to the Elite Multisport Programme by answering athlete queries, processing nominations, and facilitating selection panel decision making. This varied role will also include attending specified events, meetings and championships, as required. Working alongside our Finance team, you will assistance in processing and monitoring invoices for a range of products and services, keeping accurate and orderly records.

We’re looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to work in our sport; to use your own initiative at times, be adaptable, efficient and responsive. You will be able to demonstrate that you are an effective communicator and can interpret and manage data from a variety of sources.

We value the different perspectives that a more representative workforce will bring to our work, so are particularly keen to hear from applicants from diverse communities and backgrounds.

Successful working relationships are key to any role. Our new Customer Support Assistant will report into the Administration and Data Manager and work closely with the Age Group Coordinator. The successful candidate will be an integral and respected member of the Development Directorate and is likely to thrive through developing and maintaining trusted working relationships with our Membership, Events, and Marketing & Communications teams, along with our valued Age Group Team Managers, who travel to international competitions with athletes.

The role benefits from our successful hybrid working model, where colleagues work from our Loughborough head office a couple of days a week, providing a supportive, collaborative, and fun working environment, but you may find more frequent working from the office beneficial as you first settle into the role.

British Triathlon offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
• 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service, enhanced with a flexible holiday buying scheme
• The day off on your birthday, so you can celebrate however you wish
• Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption pay
• A commitment to your development, with regular time ringfenced for personal and collaborative learning and development
• 2 days paid volunteer leave
• Free and accessible parking on Loughborough University campus
• Pension scheme, life assurance scheme, and subsidised private medical insurance to care for you and your loved ones
• Support for a healthy lifestyle, including discounted gym membership at Loughborough University campus and a cycle to work scheme

British Triathlon is passionate about developing an environment that makes Britain the world’s leading triathlon nation, enabling success and increasing participation. We’re looking for people who can bring skills and ambition to an inclusive, people-centred workplace, who are determined to create positive impact, and who value doing what’s right above doing what is expected.
