Events Activator - World Indoor Championships 2026 Organisation British Rowing Salary £19,500 Contractor Fee Location Remote Contract type Fixed Term Closing date 13 July 2026 Job Description A bit about the roleIn 2026, British Rowing will host the World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRICH) in parallel with the pre-existing and well-respected British Rowing Indoor Championships BRIC. This gives us an anchor point for the evolution of our offering to the growing indoor rowing community, to align various existing competitions and to leverage the benefits of hosting a major international event.A bit about youThe role will suit someone who is keen to develop their knowledge and experience within sporting events. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn within this role. In particular, we are looking for an individual with the below attributes: Essential- Passionate about sport and the power it has to change lives- Strong planning and organisational skills with evidence of delivering to deadlines- The ability to build and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task.- A proactive, self-starting approach with a willingness to travel and work flexibly (including some evenings and weekends).- IT literate.- Calm under pressure.- Eagerness to innovate and a desire to learn. - A UK driving licence and the willingness to drive a van to/at events where required.
