Business Administrator (part-time) Organisation British Mountaineering Council Salary £15,900 pro rata per annum based on a 0.6 FTE (£26,500 FTE) Location BMC Office, 177-179 Burton Road, West Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2BB Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 20 May 2025 Interview date 28 May 2025 Job Description The Business Administrator will play a key role in supporting the BMC’s governance and safeguarding functions.Working closely with the Governance & Compliance Manager, the post holder will help ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Board of Directors, Members’ Council, and Specialist Committees by co-ordinating meetings, managing documentation and producing minutes within an agreed timescale.In addition, the Business Administrator will provide essential administrative and logistical support to the Safeguarding Manager. This includes processing DBS checks and co-ordinating the scheduling and organisation of safeguarding training courses to ensure all requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.The position also provides administrative support for the BMC’s voluntary Chair and President as well as the wider organisation and its subsidiaries.The BMC is looking for someone with a strong administrative background, with good attention to detail and who is comfortable taking minutes.
