Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 25 July 2025 Interview date 13 August 2025 Job Description This is an exciting and significant coaching position for the GBR Wheelchair Fencing Paralympic World Class Programme (WCF WCP). The role will provide leadership in the key areas of athlete planning and the delivery of athlete high performance plans, supporting the creation of a stimulating and impactful training and competition environment, and delivering results at key milestone events throughout the Los Angeles cycle and at the Los Angeles Paralympic Games in 2028. This is a senior role within the WCFWCP that will inform the strategic delivery of the programme and the further development of the WCF talent pathway within British Fencing The Head Performance Coach will work collaboratively with a group of sports science and sports medicine practitioners in Bath alongside a team of assistant performance coaches in the UK to drive forward world class support to a group of high achieving athletes. This will require the candidate to have excellent communication skills, a commitment to drive performance forward and an ability to work in a decisive and measured manner in high pressure competition environments.The role will also involve working closely with the Head of Performance Development and the Head of Performance Coaching to support the development of performance coaching across the Paralympic and Olympic disciplines of the sport.
