Job Description
Role Overview

Bristol City Women are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-driven Kit Manager to lead all aspects of kit, equipment, and apparel operations across the first team and associated programmes.

This role is central to the smooth running of daily training, matchdays, and travel logistics. The successful candidate will be trusted to anticipate needs before they arise, maintain professional standards at all times, and work closely with players, coaching staff, operations, and commercial partners.

Key Responsibilities

Kit & Equipment Management
• Manage all training, matchday, and travel kit for players and staff
• Prepare and distribute kit to professional standards
• Ensure all kit is correctly sized, labelled, and issued to players and staff
• Oversee boot management, accessories, recovery equipment, and training aids
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and consistency across all environments

Matchday Operations
• Lead full matchday kit preparation (home & away)
• Prepare dressing rooms in line with club and league standards
• Ensure all match equipment meets competition regulations
• Coordinate kit logistics for home and away fixtures, including travel days
• Act as a calm, reliable presence on matchdays

Training Ground Operations
• Set up and pack down daily training kit and equipment
• Ensure smooth transitions between sessions
• Work closely with coaching and performance staff to meet session requirements

Logistics & Travel
• Organise kit and equipment for all travel
• Coordinate transport, storage, and venue access
• Ensure contingency planning for delays, losses, or changes
• Maintain detailed checklists to ensure nothing is missed

Stock Control & Inventory
• Conduct regular stock takes of all kit and equipment
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Identify future requirements and flag shortages early
• Manage ordering schedules to avoid last-minute shortages

Financial & Administrative Duties
• Process and track invoices related to kit & equipment
• Work within agreed budgets
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues efficiently
• Support operations staff with accurate reporting and documentation

Sponsorships & Branding
• Ensure correct application and placement of sponsor logos
• Manage sponsor compliance across training and matchday kit
• Work alongside relevant staff to coordinate kit launches
• Maintain presentation standards aligned with commercial agreements

Labelling & Compliance
• Label all kit and equipment clearly and consistently
• Ensure compliance with league, FA, and competition regulations
• Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times

About you
Essential
• Proven experience in a kit, equipment, or football operations role
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working within a professional football schedule, which includes evenings and weekends
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
• Calm under pressure with a solutions-focused mindset

Desirable
• Experience in women’s football or elite sport
• Knowledge of league and competition regulations
• Experience managing sponsorship or branded apparel
• Understanding of football travel logistics
