Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity to join the Education Department at Bristol City Robins Foundation, as Deputy Further Education Manager (Inclusion Lead).

Salary: £32,799 - £35,791 (Successful applicant will start at bottom of the scale)

The Robins Foundation education provision comprises post-16 education, degree-level programmes, Alternative Learning Provision (ALP), and NEET reduction programmes, supporting learners across a range of educational pathways and needs.

We are seeking a full-time member of staff to work closely with our Further Education Manager, who leads a post-16 department of approximately 200 students. The department delivers BTEC qualifications from Level 1 to Level 3, in collaboration with partner schools, supporting students with a range of abilities, needs, and barriers to learning. The role has a strong focus on inclusion and improving learner engagement and outcomes, alongside line management responsibilities.

Your Main Responsibilities:
· Act as deputy to the Further Education (FE) Manager, with a focus on leading and overseeing inclusion across the provision.
· Work collaboratively with partner school SENCOs on all aspects of SEND support relating to the Robins Foundation provision.
· Lead the SEND provision, including EHCP consultations, annual reviews, exam access arrangements, SEND profiles and policies etc, ensuring statutory compliance and effective support for students.
· Quality assure SEND provision, ensuring appropriate support is in place and monitoring impact on student progress and engagement, using data to inform improvement.
· Oversee support for disadvantaged and vulnerable students, ensuring barriers to learning and engagement are identified and addressed.
· Support the FE Manager in enhancing curriculum inclusivity across the provision.
· Oversee Individual Healthcare Plans (IHCPs), ensuring appropriate plans are in place and staff are aware of and able to meet student health needs.
· Manage and oversee maths and English retake provision, including exam entries.
· Line manage teaching assistants, retake teachers and designated sports lecturers.
· Take responsibility for the FE provision in the temporary absence of the FE Manager.
· Support the FE manager with staff development, training and feedback.
· Support the management of student behaviour and attendance issues, as required.
· Provide occasional classroom cover where required, subject to appropriate qualifications and experience.
· Provide occasional advice, support and training to other foundation programmes (e.g. ALP) where required and appropriate.

You will have:
· SENCO qualified or willing to work towards.
· Teaching qualification and QTS/QTLS .
· Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, guidance, and best practice, including EHCP processes and statutory responsibilities.
· Previous experience of working with students with SEND and EHCPs.
· Knowledge of inclusive teaching, learning and curriculum design.
· An understanding of how to reduce barriers to learning for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.
· Experience of monitoring student progress, engagement, and attendance, using data to inform interventions.
· Previous experience of line managing and developing staff.
· An ability to communicate and work effectively with key stakeholders.
· An ability to support with behaviour management.
· Understanding of safeguarding and its impact on learning and inclusion.
· An ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritise workload.

Candidates must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. The role will be offered subject to an Enhanced DBS check and self-disclosure form.
