Salary Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience Location Robins High Performance Centre, Bristol Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 26 September 2025 Job Description REPORTS TO: Head of Performance ServicesAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physical Performance (S&C) Coach to support elite women’s football. You will play a key role in maximising players’ physical capabilities, reducing injury risk, and enhancing on-pitch performance through effective planning, delivery, and monitoring of strength & conditioning programmes.Key Responsibilities • Deliver individual and group S&C sessions, including warm-ups, recovery, and fitness testing • Develop and implement physical development strategies for individuals and the team • Monitor training loads and performance data, liaising with medical staff and national teams • Support nutrition, hydration, and recovery strategies as part of an integrated performance team • Contribute to rehabilitation planning and delivery in collaboration with medical staff • Educate players on performance lifestyle factors (nutrition, recovery, training habits) • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver player-centred support About You • Experienced in delivering S&C coaching in elite sport, ideally football• Strong knowledge of female biomechanics and physiology • Skilled in designing and periodising strength, power, and endurance training programmes • Confident using performance technologies (e.g., GPS, data analysis tools) • Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills • Resilient, motivated, and passionate about developing women’s football Qualifications / Requirements:Essential• BSc in Sports Science (or related field) • UKSCA Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach (ASCC) • FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) • Safeguarding and DBS clearanceDesirable• MSc in Strength & Conditioning or related field • BASES accreditation or additional S&C certifications • Experience working within the women’s game How to apply How to Apply To apply for this role, please email your CV (max 2 pages) and a cover letter (max 1 page) to careers@bcfc.co.uk.
