Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
The Women’s Team Manager will be a key driver in overseeing the administrative and operational aspects of the women’s rugby Club. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong communications abilities, and a passion for rugby. The Team Manager will ensure the smooth running of all team activities, from training sessions to matches, and support the Women’s Head Coach, General Manager, wider women’s staff and players, to achieve the ambition of being a world class programme and ‘inspire our community through rugby success’

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Operations:
• Coordinate, manage and communicate all team logistics, including meetings, training schedules, and travel arrangements.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and maintained, including managing all kit requirements (stock, orders, and coordinating laundry of match day kit).
• Coordinate all Club and League administrative tasks such as player contracts and agreements, registrations, and maintain and update team and individual records.
Communication:
• Serve as the primary contact between players, coaching staff, and Club administration.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team, and with internal and external stakeholders, including Bristol Sport staff, match officials, and PWR and RFU operators.
Match Day Management:
• Organise match day logistics for the team, working towards budgets to coordinate transportation, accommodation, catering, and other provisions required for Performance.
• Ensure all match day protocols are followed, including player eligibility on league systems, player kit preparation, ticket allocations, managing in-game substitutions, match reports, and being the primary contact for all internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with the General Manager to coordinate match day casual staff, stewards and vendors.
Player Support:
• Assist players with any off-field queries and work with internal and external stakeholders to signpost players to relevant services to ensure their well-being, educational and career support, and other development provisions.
• Managing the RFU Learner Management System and mandatory modules.
Budget and Finance:
• Liaise with the General Manager and Finance Manager to manage the team’s operational costs in accordance to set budgets, including but not limited to travel, kit and equipment.
• Liaise with the General Manager and Finance Manager to ensure timely processing of payments and financial reporting of operational costs.
Event Management:
• Work with the General Manager and Head Coach to plan and execute team events, such as training camps and social events.
• Liaise with the Bristol Bears Community Foundation, Bristol Sport stakeholders, and wider community, to coordinate Player Appearance requests across the season.
Compliance and Safety:
• Work with the General Manager to ensure that the Club is compliant with the league Minimum Operating Standards, working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate the submission of evidence.
• Ensure that the Club complies with all the relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Work alongside the Club’s designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure that the Club adheres to RFU safeguarding standards and practice at all times, providing monthly reports to the General Manager.

• Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) Team Managers
• Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR), Rugby Football Union (RFU), Scottish Rugby Union (SRU) and Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
• Experience with sports management software and scheduling systems
• Minimum 3 years experience in sports operations, event management, or similar role

DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Has previous experience in a Sporting Environment as a team manager or in a similar field.
• Has knowledge and experience of the PWR and RFU laws, rules and league regulations.
• Qualification in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
