Location: Ashton Gate Stadium, Partner School Sites & Community Settings across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible working patterns including occasional evenings and weekends
Criminal Record Check: Enhanced DBS Check Required

Bristol Bears Foundation is the official charity of Bristol Bears. We believe rugby is more than just a game. It's our way for lasting change. We use rugby as a tool to help tackle the impacts of inequality by inspiring healthier, stronger, and more connected communities across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

We're looking for a passionate and proactive Social Inclusion Project Officer to help deliver and develop our Access & Inclusion programmes, supporting children, young people, adults and older people across the region.

Your next role:

As a Social Inclusion Project Officer, you'll be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a range of high-quality inclusion programmes within schools, colleges and community settings. Working with participants with a range of disabilities, impairments and support needs, you'll help create positive experiences that increase confidence, wellbeing, physical activity and social connection.

Working closely with the Social Inclusion Manager, you'll:

• Deliver engaging sessions across a range of Social Inclusion programmes, including Spectrum, Vets Rugby Hub and Golden Movers
• Develop and deliver tailored programmes of work for children and young people within SEND, as well as older adults, in schools, colleges and community settings
• Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, community organisations and strategic partners
• Support the delivery of CPD opportunities for schools and partner organisations, helping to promote inclusive practice
• Monitor, track and record participant progress, ensuring accurate reporting through Bristol Bears Foundation monitoring systems and Upshot

This is a rewarding and hands-on role for someone who is passionate about inclusion, community engagement and using sport to make a meaningful difference.

What you'll bring to our team

• Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Experience working with older adults in a community setting
• Experience planning and delivering structured educational, youth engagement or sports-based programmes
• Experience working within education, community development, youth engagement or the charity sector
• Experience delivering sports coaching sessions within schools and/or community settings
• England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA), RFU Level 2 Coaching Award, equivalent coaching qualification, or willingness to work towards
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to accurately record data, monitor outcomes and demonstrate impact
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities when working with children, young people and adults at risk
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
• Access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence
