Job Description
Brentwood Eels RLFC is a thriving and ambitious community rugby league club committed to providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. From our thriving junior sections through to our senior teams, inclusive rugby programmes, school outreach initiatives, and community projects, we are passionate about growing rugby league and making a positive impact across our local area.

As the club continues to develop both on and off the field, we are seeking a passionate and creative Volunteer Media Officer to help raise the profile of Brentwood Eels RLFC, celebrate the achievements of our players and volunteers, and showcase everything our club has to offer.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in sports media, communications, marketing, content creation, or digital engagement while making a valuable contribution to a successful and growing community rugby league club.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop the club's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Produce and publish engaging content including match reports, fixtures, results, player features, team news, and club updates.
Create graphics and promotional materials for matches, events, fundraising activities, recruitment campaigns, and community initiatives.
Write news articles, interviews, and feature stories highlighting players, coaches, volunteers, and club achievements.
Promote all aspects of the club including junior rugby, senior rugby, touch rugby, inclusion programmes, school partnerships, community projects, and social events.
Capture and share photographs and video content from training sessions, matches, presentations, and club events where possible.
Work closely with coaches, team managers, volunteers, and players to source content and celebrate success across all sections of the club.
Support the development of sponsorship and partnership opportunities by enhancing the club's visibility and media presence.
Help promote player recruitment, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising campaigns.
Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive image of Brentwood Eels RLFC at all times.
Person Specification
Enthusiasm for rugby league and community sport.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good knowledge of social media platforms and digital content creation.
Ability to work independently and manage agreed deadlines.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable and committed to delivering against agreed responsibilities.
Creative mindset with an eye for engaging content.
Photography, video editing, graphic design, or media experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Knowledge of rugby league or grassroots sport is desirable but not essential.
