Job Description: BAFA is seeking a Performance Statistics Intern to support the GB Elite Flag Football programme during the 2026 international cycle (fixed term until end of August 2026). This role focuses on:
● Collecting and structuring match statistics across 40+ elite international games
● Supporting coaches with clear, actionable performance insight
● Live stat support at the Flag Football World Championships (Düsseldorf, August)
You will operate within BAFA’s performance programme, with technical guidance from BreakAway Data (BAFA’s performance partner).
Candidate Profile:
● Studying or recently graduated in data science, sport analytics, maths, or similar
● Detail-oriented and comfortable working with precision
● Able to interpret data in a performance context
● Calm under time pressure
Helpful, but not essential:
● Experience in sports stat collection
● Knowledge of flag football
