Consistent with Sport England’s Code of Governance, the Bowls England board has recently completed a full “Skills Gap Analysis” of the current Board profile. With this in mind, whilst we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, we are particularly interested to hear from those with skills and experience in the following areas -
•
Major Events: experience in delivering international and national events and collaborating with key stakeholders, particularly in light of Bowls England hosting the 2027 World Bowls Championships.

In addition, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for the future well-being of the sport and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively alongside peers, staff, and volunteers. They should promote openness and uphold the highest ethical standards of integrity, observing all Bowls England Policies. Board Directors should aim to listen sensitively to the views of others, inside and outside the Board, and gain the trust and respect of our membership.

This challenging role will suit highly driven and passionate individuals who believe they can contribute positively to Bowls England’s future and are available to attend the following:
•
Six Board Meetings per year (weekdays, varying lengths depending on the time of year)
