Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 8 August 2025 Job Description Job title: Pre Academy CoachDepartment: Pre Academy Coaching Based at: BRFC Academy, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn, BB6 8BA. Flexibility regarding location may be required. Reports to: Pre-Academy Manager and Head of Coaching Responsible for: N/A Hours of work: A minimum of 6 hours per week over 44 weeks per calendar year, plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. This will include regular evening and weekend work. Contractual Status: Permanent Job purpose: Responsible for shaping the success and future development of players within the Pre Academy. This will involve coach to player development during two training sessions per week and additional weekend games. Duties and responsibilities:To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all elite players, promoting their well-being needs whilst maintaining professional boundaries;To coach within the Pre Academy Phase implementing best practice at all times through both team/individual tailored sessions;To ensure all coaching follows the recommended Pre Academy / Academy footballing philosophy and the training and development programme;To liaise with players/parents in a professional manner;To be responsible for creating suitable coaching sessions and completing the provided player registration / evaluation sheets per session;To liaise with the Pre Academy Manager & Recruitment Department regarding players progress within the age group;To undertake the specific Individual Development Plan recommended by the Pre Academy;To lead on arranged U7/U8 fixtures in line with the Pre Academy games programme; andTo carry out any such other duties as the Pre Academy Manager may reasonably assign or delegate in connection with the business of the Club from time to time.
