Location: Central London with remote working 2 days per week

Reports to: Head of Strategy & Comms

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 dependant on experience

Role Summary

We are looking for a creative marketing professional who has experience of working within the UK sport industry to help shape the direction of Sport Industry Group and its suite of physical events and digital products.

Working within the core Sport Industry Group team and supported by an existing network of agencies, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overarching development of our digital platforms - which includes a newly launched website, our widely read daily newsletter and regular email marketing efforts, and the content output across various social media platforms - from a marketing, commercial and operations perspective.

The right candidate will have experience of utilising digital products and platforms in order to drive a range of commercial objectives. These include ticket and table sales for the annual Sport Industry Awards, encouraging registrations to our new website, driving sign ups to the Sport Industry Membership programme and attracting and converting sponsorships.

As well as leading our digital marketing efforts, this role will also require the individual to get involved in the creation and execution of physical activations and events - including print, branding, hospitality, and experiential activations – so a creative skillset is highly desired.

The right candidate will have an eye for creative marketing opportunities, have a sound knowledge of best practice within various aspects of digital marketing, have some graphic design skills, and ideally possess a good level of experience and existing relationships within UK sport industry.

You will:

• Own the long-term development of the SIG website and digital platforms, with a particular focus on driving top-of-funnel objectives – account registrations, newsletter signups, and lead generation

• Develop and execute a marketing strategy for the annual Sport Industry Awards and numerous other SIG products

• Ensure that SIG marketing efforts are helping to hit commercial objectives and that all marketing communication is of a high standard

• Lead on the creative development of the SIG brand, its various properties and products, and digital output

• Ad-hoc support for the creation of the Sport Industry Daily newsletter, editorial output, advertorial content and social media communications

• Work with partners to ensure that all partner marketing deliverables are met

• Help out with other areas of the business from time to time, including but not limited to, operations, commercial conversations and events

You will have:

• 4+ years of relevant marketing experience. Preferably in sport.

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, other experience within the Adobe suite

• Experience of using a website CMS (preferably WordPress)

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint

• An understanding of the UK sport industry

• Strong attention to detail

• Willingness to help across various parts of the business, outside of the core remit
