Location: Across one or more of Bath Rugby regions – Bath, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire.
Hours: Sessional hours, zero-hours contract
CORE PURPOSE
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Next Gen Community Rugby Coaches to support our Next Gen programme with the delivery of coaching provision.
Our community coaches deliver high-quality, safe, and engaging rugby experiences that inspire young players and promote participation in rugby across Bath Rugby's community programmes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and support Bath Rugby's Next Generation programmes, including camps, masterclasses, tournaments, match-day experiences, and other community initiatives.
- Create a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Ensure all coaching activities comply with RFU, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.Set up, maintain, and return equipment appropriately.
- At all times act in a way that represents Bath Rugby in a professional manner.
- Build positive relationships with participants, parents, schools, clubs, host venues, and community partners.
- Work collaboratively with Bath Rugby staff and fellow coaches.

SESSIONAL PAY RATES
Matchday Coaching £45
Tournament Coaching £75
Camp Coaching (Day) £100
Residential Coaching (Per day) £140

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements
- Experience coaching rugby union.
- RFU Coaching Award (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within one or more of Bath Rugby's regions.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience with children and young people
- England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA)
- Valid safeguarding qualification.
- Valid first aid qualification.
- Experience delivering camps or large participation events.
- Experience working within schools or community rugby programmes.
- Additional coaching qualifications.

Ideal For
This role is ideal for community rugby coaches and teachers with existing coaching delivery experience who are looking to upskill with support of the Next Gen professional coaching team.
This role offers flexible, casual work opportunities throughout the year. Coaches will primarily be required during:
- School holiday periods
- Evenings (after school)
- Weekends
Hours will vary depending on programme demand, with opportunities to work across a range of Bath Rugby's Next Generation activities and events.

Due to the nature of our business, child adjacent roles, and the requirement to upkeep the reputation of our club, any offer of employment for this role will be conditional upon the declaration of any unspent convictions and other relevant safeguarding or protection orders, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
