Job Description
Job Title: Demi Chef de Partie
Reporting to: Executive Chef
Department: Kitchen
Contract type: Full time, permanent.

The core purpose of this role is to support the Executive Chef and kitchen team in delivering excellent service which support the high-performance team environment. The chef team are responsible for delivering two meals and two refuels on a team training day for the squad and staff.
Key responsibilities:
• Complete daily tasks with supervision and independently by Team / Exec Chef
• Ensure squad food is prepared and served in accordance with the chefs / nutritionist’s requirements / standards
• Always keep section in the kitchen / castle court clean and tidy
• Come to senior chef and nutritionist with ideas for menus to develop own career and keep pushing the quality and standards for the squad
• Maintain good hygiene practice to maintain 5/5 from council audits
• Manage stock, take deliveries, and monitor food storage/wastage and report discrepancies to team / exec chef
• Level 2 food hygiene
• Good allergen awareness
• Desire to work in a high pressured, premier sporting environment
• High volume catering knowledge with emphasis on banqueting or large numbers (desirable)
• Set and clean castle court in main house ready for squad to dine on days squad.
• Clean and wipe tables after each mealtime.
• Deep clean weekly or on request.
• Assist with match day preparations (occasionally)
• Work match days with other chefs on the retail part of the business and service of post-match feeding
• Be confident in live cooking in front of players, guests, and staff; omelette station, live pasta cooking and BBQ.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours a week, 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends, early mornings, late evenings, and public holidays. Any overtime will be given as lieu time.
Salary: £27.5k per annum

Location
Based at Bath Rugby HQ, Farleigh House, and The Rec in Bath city centre. Due to the rural location and limited public transport, applicants must live within commuting distance and have access to their own transport.
