We pride ourselves on a culture of performance, collaboration, and professionalism, and we are looking for an enthusiastic Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team and support the club’s day-to-day financial operations.

Role Overview
We are recruiting for a skilled Groundsperson. This is a new opportunity to join our Grounds Team who look after both iconic locations within the company- Farleigh House and the Rec. We truly do not think there are better locations to work at in Bath (though we might be biased). Our Grounds Team currently consists of three other people and we are looking to gain both a grounds apprentice and a junior or senior Groundsperson.

The core purpose of the role is to maintain the pitches and surrounds of the training ground at Farleigh House and the pitch at the Rec to the highest standards to ensure that the pitches are always available for training.
To present the match day pitch in the best shape and highest quality for matches.

Key Responsibilities
As a Groundsperson at Bath Rugby, you will be entrusted with a range of essential tasks to ensure our playing surfaces are of the highest quality:
• Carry out regular mowing, edging, and aeration to maintain the pitch at optimal playing condition.
• Apply fertilisers, treatments, and pest control measures as needed to promote healthy turf growth and appearance.
• Accurately mark and paint lines on the field for matches and training sessions, ensuring clear and professional markings.
• Manage and maintain groundskeeping equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
• Keep a vigilant eye on weather conditions and adjust maintenance activities accordingly to protect the playing surface.
• Work closely with the groundskeeping team to ensure all aspects of the facility are well-maintained.
• Assist in preparing the facility for matches and events, ensuring the grounds are impeccable and ready for action.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations to provide a secure environment for players, staff, and visitors
• Any other tasks that may be deemed appropriate by your line manager
• On occasion you may be asked to help with event set-ups working across the wider grounds and gardens team

Desirable skill & Experience
• We are ideally looking for an experienced individual who has successfully maintained sports turf to a professional standard.
• The individual must also hold or be working towards the appropriate technical qualification, such as:
o Level 2 City & Guilds Diploma in Sports and Amenity Turf Maintenance
o NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Management.

Location
Based at Bath Rugby’s Head Office, Farleigh House (BA2 7RW), with regular attendance required at The Rec in Bath city centre. Due to the rural location and limited public transport, applicants must live within commuting distance and have access to their own transport.
