Job Description: Basketball England is seeking a General Manager (Performance) to provide strategic leadership across the British Basketball senior and age grade teams, with a particular focus on delivering the 3x3 programme and achieving LA qualification.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for aligning performance programmes, driving Olympic ambitions, and ensuring the successful delivery of UK Sport and Sport England investment objectives.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the development and delivery of the 3x3 programme with the aim of achieving LA qualification
Providing overall strategic leadership of British senior and age grade teams
Overseeing the alignment of all GB programmes, ensuring high standards of safeguarding and athlete welfare
Leading the Olympic Games project, including qualification and selection processes and liaison with the BOA
Managing relationships with funders, governing bodies and key stakeholders
Leading and managing a team of coaches and staff, providing direction and support
Overseeing budgets and contributing to the development of a sustainable commercial model
Supporting the development of arrangements for a new GB body

You’ll bring experience in high-performance sport leadership, with a strong understanding of national or international pathways, alongside excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking and delivery focus.
Experience working within publicly funded sport, including UK Sport or Sport England investment programmes, would be highly beneficial.
