Job Description
This job advert has a rolling deadline. We will review applications and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis until we identify a suitable candidate for appointment.

Working Pattern: Minimum 37.5 hours per week. Such hours as are necessary to fulfil the requirements of your position to the satisfaction of Basketball England and may include work in evenings, on weekends, school holidays and public holidays as required.
Location: Hybrid – domestic and international travel may be required
Reports to: 3x3 Development Manager
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until March 2027

PURPOSE

To support the delivery and growth of 3x3 basketball across the pathway from grassroots to elite level, including England and GB programmes.

The role will act as a central point of coordination and communication for all 3x3 activity, ensuring effective scheduling, administration, and stakeholder engagement to enable high-quality programme delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Pathway Administration: Support and maintain the 3x3 activity calendar, including scheduling and coordination of all pathway activity. Book venues, facilities and required support services to enable programme delivery. Maintain accurate CRM records including player data, selections, consent forms and safeguarding documentation. Ensure all administrative processes are compliant, up to date and efficiently managed.

Event & Camp Logistics: Plan, coordinate and deliver end-to-end logistics for camps, trials and tournaments across the UK and internationally (England and GB 3x3 activity). Coordinate travel, accommodation, kit, equipment and medical provision for all events. Produce detailed operational documentation, including run sheets, risk assessments and welfare plans. Act as on-site operational lead, supporting the 3x3 Development Manager to ensure safe and effective delivery.

Volunteer & Workforce Support: Support the recruitment, deployment and briefing of the 3x3 workforce. Process workforce expenses in line with organisational procedures. Monitor and track mandatory compliance requirements (e.g. DBS, safeguarding).

Communication & Customer Service: Provide clear, timely and accurate communication to players, parents, clubs and workforce. Issue joining instructions, schedules and programme updates. Act as the first point of contact for all 3x3 enquiries via phone and email. Work collaboratively with the Membership Team to ensure a high-quality member experience.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure all activity is delivered in line with organisational policies (including EDI, safeguarding, anti-doping and finance). Support budget monitoring, including raising purchase orders and tracking expenditure. Assist with reconciling event costs with the 3x3 Development Manager. Maintain accurate records to support audit and compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Collect and review feedback from players, staff and stakeholders. Produce post-event reports with key insights. Contribute administrative and operational insights to programme reviews. Support ongoing improvements to systems, processes and delivery standards.

OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project Delivery: Support the delivery of specific time-limited 3x3 projects, ensuring key milestones and requirements are met. Assist in coordinating project activity in line with agreed timelines and objectives.

Communications: Support the delivery of clear and consistent key messages to internal and external partners. Contribute to ongoing communications to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged.

Decision Making: Support day-to-day operational decision making to meet programme objectives. Work in collaboration with the 3x3 Development Manager and wider teams to resolve issues and ensure effective delivery.

Marketing Support: Provide accurate information and content to support marketing, communications and PR activity. Contribute to campaign briefs and help ensure programmes and events are effectively promoted.

Service Delivery: Coordinate the operational delivery of services required for 3x3 programmes. Support the effective organisation of activities to ensure they are delivered efficiently and meet the needs

Governance, Risk & Compliance: Comply with all Basketball England policies, procedures and regulations. Support safe and inclusive delivery in line with key policies including Equal Opportunities & Equity; Safeguarding; Code of Ethics & Conduct; Anti-Doping, Anti-Betting, Anti-Corruption and Confidentiality). Maintain awareness of risk and escalate any concerns appropriately.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Internal: Customer Service, Finance, Safeguarding, Marketing and Communications: Work collaboratively with internal teams to support effective information sharing and smooth programme delivery. Ensure accurate data handling and timely updates across systems and departments. Support the processing and reconciliation of payments and refunds in line with finance procedures. Follow all organisational policies in day-to-day activity.

3x3 Workforce: Coaches, Officials, Volunteers: Provide clear briefs, schedules and expectations to the 3x3 workforce. Coordinate logistics including travel, accommodation, kit, equipment and technology requirements. Support a positive and professional experience across all activity. Gather and share feedback to contribute to continuous improvement.

External: Venues, Travel Providers, Accommodation, Regional Committees: Support the coordination of bookings and agreements with external partners. Monitor service delivery and escalate any issues where standards are not met. Build and maintain positive working relationships to support ongoing programme delivery. Contribute to developing effective partnerships that add value to 3x3 activity throughout the year.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
- Educated to A level or equivalent qualification, or compensating work experience in a relevant business-related field.

Experience:
- Programme and Project Delivery: Experience of supporting the delivery of programmes or projects, ideally within a sport or talent development environment.
- 3x3 Pathway and Systems: An understanding of the 3x3 pathway and systems (desirable but not essential).
- Recruitment: Experience supporting recruitment activity, particularly for volunteers or workforce roles.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluation of Talent systems: Experience of supporting data collection, reporting or evaluation processes (desirable but not essential).

Personal Skills:
- Confident & Self-Motivated: Confident with a high degree of self-motivation.
- Mental Agility & Initiative: Excellent mental agility with the ability to use own initiative to self-organise, plan and work effectively, taking account of daily changing and competing strategic priorities.
- Quality Work at Speed: A proven ability to produce high quality work and meet deadlines at speed and under pressure.
- Teamwork: Ability to work as a member of a team, with an understanding of what behaviours contribute to effective teamwork.
- Communications: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating an ability to communicate upwards to a senior level and relate to a wide range of people and organisations in the right appropriate format.
- Solution Development: Ability to anticipate issues, problem solve, manage ambiguity and make sound judgements on sensitive matters.
- Attention to Detail & Personal Organisation: High level of demonstrable attention to detail and personal organisation to ensure prioritisation, time management and all outputs of work are of the highest standards.
- Customer Service: Excellent ability to demonstrate high levels of customer service and to motivate others to put the customer at the centre of all delivery.

Technical Skills:
- Attention to Detail: An eye for detail with an ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
- Advanced ICT: Significant advanced expertise in the use of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other related ICT software.
- Numeracy & Literacy: Excellent numeracy, literacy, spelling and presentation in typewritten and other work.

Other:
- A genuine interest in basketball / sport.
- An understanding of how to get talent and sports performance results through people and systems.
- A flexible attitude to working, willing to work evenings and weekends as a result of the nature of the role and event timings.
