Some travel, out of office hours & weekend work may be requiredLocation: Nationwide, with occasional travel to Manchester officeReports to: Senior Delivery Manager - Officiating & RegionsPURPOSEThe post holder will work closely to support regions, leagues, associations, and areas as well as internal and external partners to co-ordinate the services and activities, to deliver the Basketball England strategy at a regional and local level.As Regions, Associations & Leagues Development Officer you’ll be working closely with Regional Management Committees and will support their development ensuring strong governance, policies and support for various affiliated clubs and organisations across each region – with the overall outcome of increasing participation and growing the membership.The successful applicant will have experience of working with local and partner organisations and supporting governance for local organisations and grassroots engagement.We recognise that local infrastructure is crucial for the development of the sport and this role will be key in ensuring members’ voices are heard and fully supported in helping to engage more basketball participants.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Delivery: Working across departments to ensure strategy lands at a local level, alongside complimenting the needs of the game.Governance: Support various affiliated bodies in terms of governance and relationship with Basketball England to strengthen the support for local basketball.Project Management: Responsibilities relating to the identified projects at a local and regional level together with Basketball England Leads.Monitor and evaluate projects: Identifying and mitigating issues that may impact project scope, quality, timeline, or budget.Relationship Development: Support the various volunteers and staff within Regions, Areas, Associations and Leagues to develop basketball infrastructure at the grassroots level.Resource Management: Support the delivery of the regional development grants and be able to support the finding of external funding, manage resources to support delivery at a local level.Membership Growth: Support participation and workforce initiatives to grow membership across all regions.OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIESGovernance: To support the affiliation and governance of various basketball stakeholders at a local level to increase engagementCommunications: Delivery of key messages and ongoing communications with all internal and external stakeholders.
