Job Description: This part‑time role, which includes regular evening and weekend work, offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of Barnsley FC’s next generation of elite goalkeepers. As Casual Academy Goalkeeper Coach, you will design and deliver a high‑quality goalkeeping curriculum across all phases, aligned with the Club’s coaching philosophy and performance pathway.

Working closely with senior coaching staff and the multidisciplinary team, you will support player progression, guide age‑group transitions, contribute to pre‑ and post‑match analysis, and ensure all activities meet EPPP requirements and PMA reporting standards.

You will play a central role in shaping both individual and squad development, creating structured learning plans, profiling goalkeeper attributes, and embedding technical, tactical, psychological, and physical development within training programmes.

This role requires a dynamic, committed coach with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire young players in a high‑performance environment. A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, professionalism, and ongoing personal development is essential, alongside the relevant coaching qualifications and experience across the Foundation, Youth Development and Professional Development phases.
