Job Description
Job Title: Engagement Coordinator (with a focus on disabilities)

Department: Sport Development

Reporting to: Head of Participation

Direct reports: None

Location: Lilleshall or Hybrid/Remote working

Status: Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed term contract until 31 September 2028 (subject to extension of funding)

Job purpose and objectives

The Engagement Coordinator is a member of Archery GB’s Sport Development team accountable for delivering a varied programme of projects and initiatives, whilst informing, influencing and guiding our critical programmes towards achieving our long-term strategies for Disability and Inclusion.

The Engagement Coordinator will contribute towards the organisation’s vision of enriching lives through archery, and the successful achievement of Archery GB’s strategic ambitions, which are:

The Engagement Coordinator is funded by The Fletcher’s Trust and The Worshipful Company of Fletchers, to help us deliver our disability and inclusion action plan.


Key responsibilities

· To support the planning and delivery of participation initiatives for disability and inclusion across multiple workstreams.


· Develop, implement and maintain a consistent monitoring and evaluation system to monitor progress towards the fulfilment of the strategic ambitions of Archery GB.



· Influence change and promote good practice through presentation of recommendations and proactive insight that guides the way we target, design and shape our approaches & develop, promote and enhance archery.

This will be accomplished by working with a range of stakeholders from clubs, facility providers, to funders and other partners at national, regional, county, and local level.

Key Activities

· Lead and/or support projects across the sport, implementing effective project management processes, including some budget responsibilities.


· Take ownership of the planning and coordination of disability and inclusion initiatives, supported and guided by the wider Sport Development team.



· Create, deliver, and implement research tools and inputs to support project delivery and progress monitoring e.g. survey questionnaires, focus groups, in depth interviews.



· Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and agencies using them to provide insight and support related activities in line with the long-term objectives of this work programme.



· Review and improve the collection of data from a range of sources in order to consolidate, analyse and present information in a practical, understandable way providing input for strategic decision making.



· Create monthly reports to share with partners and funders against delivery objectives and targets



Key relationships/interfaces

The Engagement Coordinator will work across the organisation coordinating the delivery of targeted and appropriate projects focused on disabilities and inclusion.


The key relationships will include the:

· Sport Development team colleagues


· Key volunteers including the Sport Advisory Group


· Disability focused organisations including Activity Alliance, LimbPower, WheelPower, Help for Heroes, British Blind Sport, UK Deaf Sport
· Archery GB colleagues including IT, Finance, Membership Services


· External organisations such as clubs, facility providers, Active Partnerships




Key measures

· Archer recruitment and retention


· Member satisfaction data


· Quality of experience


· Project delivery – milestones and deliverables


Flexibility clause

The job holder is required to be flexible in their duties and may be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities as specified by Archery GB.

Working conditions: This is a part-time position, which can be remote based with attendance at Lilleshall for key meetings. The post requires some travel, plus weekend work and evenings as required to perform the role.
