Job Description
CONTEXT:

An excellent opportunity to join one of the most successful National Governing Bodies in the UK Sport High Performance System has arisen.

Aquatics GB oversees Aquatics sports in Great Britain - Swimming, Para Swimming, Diving, Artistic Swimming and Water Polo.

We are in the early stages of the Olympic and Paralympic cycle, so this is an exciting time to join Aquatics GB as we look to build on the unprecedented success of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.

The Sports Science and Sports Medicine (SSSM) department is led by the Sports Science and Sports Medicine Director (SSSMD) who is supported by a highly experienced SSSM Leadership Team. The SSSM Leadership Team provides both sport specific leadership for the 4 sporting disciplines and cross aquatic ‘Theme’ leadership for key areas of SSSM. The SSSM lead roles combine sport specific leadership with cross aquatic theme leadership to ensure a fully integrated aquatics role. A recent change has seen the SSSM Practitioner Team adopt a cross-aquatic remit, which reinforces the aquatic integration. This role combines the SSSM leadership of the Para-Swimming programme with the cross aquatic ‘theme’ leadership of ‘Physical Performance’ ensuring the post holder has an integrated aquatic remit supporting both the Olympic and Paralympic programmes.

SUMMARY
This post will sit on the Para-Swimming Leadership Team to provide sport specific SSSM direction and will develop and implement SSSM strategy to positively impact on performance within the Para Swimming programme.
In addition, the role will lead the cross aquatic ‘Physical Performance’ theme, actively contributing across the aquatic disciplines (Diving, Swimming, Para-Swimming and Artistic Swimming) through leadership, management and aligned work on targeted strategic projects. The post will work closely with, and support, the SSSMD, as part of the cross-aquatic SSSM Leadership Team.
How to apply
If you feel you have the skills and experience required for this role and are passionate about being part of a high-performance team we would love to hear from you. Please send via email/WeTransfer (free large file sending platform) a video recording of no more than 5 minutes responding to the following two questions: • What excites you about this role? • What are the key ‘value adds’ you will bring to the team? Or send via email a completed application form (written) to peopledepartment@aquaticsgb.com. A pack can be downloaded from our website https://www.aquaticsgb.com Please note, we operate anonymous recruitment process for written applications.
