Basketball Coach (Full time and Part Time considered)

Hotshots Basketball – Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire.

Pay: £25 per session or £1200-£1700 per month (programme dependent) plus bonus.

Job Type: Permanenet, Casual and Part-Time opportunities are available.

Hours: Clubs run before school, lunchtime and after school, we are looking for staff to support all types of camps and have hours to suit. Holiday camps are delivered during each holiday and there are regular tournaments throughout the year.

Hotshots Basketball is the leading primary school basketball programme in Northamptonshire, delivering fun, engaging sessions to KS1 and KS2 pupils across more than 130 schools. With over 4,000 children enrolled for the 2025/26 school year, we are expanding our coaching team and looking for enthusiastic, reliable coaches who want to inspire the next generation.

About the Role
Hotshots are looking to expand their coaching pool with casual coaches to help cover and grow the programme. As a Hotshots Coach, you will deliver structured basketball sessions in primary schools, helping children build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy being active. This is an ideal role for anyone passionate about sport, coaching or working with young people. Weekly administration time is part of the role, allowing for all staff to complete any required work.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver before school, lunchtime and after school basketball sessions
• Follow structured session plans designed for primary aged children
• Create a fun, positive and inclusive learning environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils, school staff and parents
• Support tournaments and holiday camps throughout the year
• Represent Hotshots’ values of professionalism, enthusiasm and child centred coaching

Requirements
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car
• Willingness to travel between school locations
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Confident working with groups of children

Desirable (Not Essential)
• Level 1 or Level 2 coaching qualification
• Experience in sports coaching, PE delivery or working in schools
• Background in basketball or multi sports coaching
