Job Description
Netball Fever – Coach
Pay: £12.16 – £14.93 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30–4:30pm OR 9:30–5:30pm (venue dependent)
Travel Expenses: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day

Join Activate Camps as a Netball Fever Coach and inspire young netballers through high quality coaching, energy and professionalism.

Netball Fever is a 3 day netball experience for children aged 7–16, developed in collaboration with Super League players. The programme covers all areas of netball—attacking, defending, conditioning games and core fundamentals—making it suitable for players of every level.

We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled coaches who can deliver engaging sessions, support player development and contribute to a fun, safe and structured camp environment.

About Activate Camps
Activate Camps provide fun, safe and developmental holiday programmes across the UK. Children progress through technical sessions, challenges and gameplay before competing in the Activate Games, where they earn points by demonstrating BEST behaviour: Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship and Teamwork.

The Role
As a Netball Fever Coach, you will lead your own group of 10–14 children, deliver high quality netball sessions and ensure each child enjoys a positive and developmental camp experience. You will bring energy, organisation and a passion for netball to every session.

Key Responsibilities
Pre Camp
• Complete all Activate Camps training
• Complete onboarding tasks accurately and on time
• Review and understand the timetable and curriculum

During Camp
• Present professionally in full Activate uniform
• Support camp setup and registration
• Deliver a structured and engaging Extra Time Club activity
• Assist with grouping and ability assessments on Day 1
• Supervise downtime (lunch, breaks)
• Lead your own group of 10–14 children
• Deliver fun, progressive and technically sound netball sessions
• Adapt delivery based on player experience and ability
• Implement session coaching points and progressions
• Take responsibility for safeguarding and wellbeing within your group
• Communicate with parents when required
• Support the Camp Manager with reasonable requests
• Maintain a clean, safe camp environment
• Report hazards or incidents promptly
• Encourage reflective practice, celebrating achievements and setting goals
• Support end of day collection and ensure children are prepared for the next day
• Deliver daily: attacking, defending, conditioning games and fundamentals
• Lead your team during Activate Games activities and support the points system
Post Camp
• Pack away equipment safely
• Submit coaching session logs
• Participate in staff debriefs
• Prepare sessions and equipment for the next day

What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong safeguarding understanding
• Basic awareness of Health & Safety
• Experience leading a group
• Passion for working with children
• England Netball Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge of netball
Desirable
• Good communication with parents
• Previous netball camp experience
• Evidence of England Netball CPD
