Job Description
Multi Sport Camp Coach
Salary: £12.16–£14.93 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am–4:30pm or 9:30am–5:30pm (venue dependent)
Travel Expenses: 30p per mile after the first 35 miles per day (uplift available for car share)

About Activate Camps
Activate Camps provide fun, safe and engaging holiday programmes where children develop skills through technical sessions, activities, challenges and gameplay. Teamwork and a positive attitude are central to the experience, with children earning points for the Activate Games by demonstrating BEST qualities: Bravery, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship and Teamwork.

About Multi Sport Camps
Our Multi Sport Camps are designed for active children aged 5–14 who want variety and fun during the school holidays. Camps include a mix of sports, activities, games, crafts and challenges, with options for 3 day passes or full weeks including extended hours. They are ideal for active kids and busy families.

The Role
As a Multi Sport Camp Coach, you will lead and deliver high quality sessions across a wide range of sports, activities, games and crafts. You’ll be responsible for the safety, enjoyment and development of your group and help deliver an outstanding camp experience in the Activate way.
You will lead your own group of children, support wider camp delivery, and encourage participants to demonstrate BEST values throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
Pre Camp
• Complete Activate Camps training.
• Complete all onboarding tasks accurately and on time.
• Review and understand the timetable and curriculum.
During Camp
• Present professionally in full Activate uniform.
• Support camp set up and registration.
• Lead a group of around 10–15 children.
• Deliver fun, engaging Multi Sport sessions following the curriculum.
• Support delivery of sports, activities, games, challenges and crafts.
• Lead an Extra Time Club activity.
• Assist the ability based grouping process on Day 1.
• Supervise children during breaks and lunchtimes.
• Ensure all children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Communicate with parents when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe camp environment.
• Report hazards or incidents promptly and professionally.
• Support reflective practice and celebrate group achievements.
• Assist with end of day collection and ensure children leave with belongings.
• Support the Camp Manager with reasonable requests.
• Lead a team during Team Challenge Activities and manage the points system.
• Engage with all groups during the Activate Games.
Post Camp
• Pack away equipment safely.
• Complete and submit daily session logs.
• Take part in staff debriefs.
• Prepare sessions and equipment for the next day.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong safeguarding awareness.
• Basic understanding of health and safety.
• Experience leading a group of children.
• Passion for working with young people.
• Experience coaching or teaching sport.
• Knowledge of arts and craft activities.
• Good communication skills with parents.
Desirable
• Previous experience on a Multi Sport or Multi Activity camp.
