Sporting Conduct Initiative: An International Perspective
SubscribeA report for UK Sport, Strategy, Ethics and Research.
The report has a particular, though not an exclusive, focus on the major spectator sports of football, cricket, golf, tennis, rugby union and rugby league. It's aims are:
- to consider the range of approaches that countries may be taking in respect of “sporting conduct”, including the development and delivery of fair play policies for children and young people
- to consider the extent to which any national initiatives are specifically related to international initiatives
- to consider the extent to which countries make the link between fair play and anti-doping initiatives, not least in terms of organisational responsibilities
- to provide as far as possible, a comparative analysis of the aims, objectives and effectiveness of different initiatives, and the values that underpin them
