Mission 2012 has now moved off the drawing board and into ‘live’ mode with sports conducting their self-assessments – a number of them on a facilitated basis, ahead of the 9 November submission deadline.
Some of the key milestones in the coming weeks are as follows:
October
31 – Sports to sign off the summary background fact sheets for Mission 2012 Panel members
November
Following the submission of their self-assessment reports, the Performance Panels will meet to consider the outcomes and any issues, challenges or good practice that sports have raised.
9 – Deadline for the submission of quarter one reviews
12-15 – World Class Coaching Conference and further informal opportunities for feedback on the process
21 – First meeting of the Olympic Performance Panel
22 - First meeting of the Paralympic Performance Panel
26 – UK Sport’s Performance Programme Consultants will start feeding back to sports on the Panels’ discussions
December
5 – UK Sport Board Meeting
7 – UK Sport to contact sports with ‘dummy’ public reporting content
14 – Last date to request a UK Sport facilitated session for quarter two assessments.
