Chris Holmes
Chris Holmes is Britain's most successful individual Paralympic swimmer winning nine Paralympic gold medals, including six at a single Games.
He was a member of the Great Britain swimming team from 1985-2001 and competed at four Paralympic Games, two World and seven European Championships. He was awarded the MBE in 1992 for services to British sport.
Prior to joining the UK Sport board Chris was a member of the Awards Panel for four years and a member of the UK Sports Institute implementation panel.
Chris is Director of Paralympic Integration at London 2012, a position he has held since 2009. Prior to this Chris was a practicing lawyer at international firm Ashurst.
A former board member at the Disability Rights Commission, Chris has also worked as a freelance journalist and broadcaster at sporting events across the world and undertakes regular speaking engagements for corporate, sporting and community based organisations.
Chris was appointed to the UK Sport board in September 2005. He also Chairs the Audit Committee and sits on UK Sport's Mission 2012 Paralympic Panel.
