GB’s Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin produced three great performances under pressure to take the gold ahead of Germany in the Dressage team event. It is Britain’s first team dressage medal at the Olympics and takes the Team GB gold medal tally to 20 - one more than they won in Beijing.
In terms of gold medals won this is now the best Olympic performance by a GB team since the 1908 London Games, where the hosts won 56 golds.
