Job Description

One of the UK's leading deliverers of high quality sports provision, Sports Xtra are looking to recruit for various positions at Primary Schools throughout West and Central Hertfordshire.
As well as the opportunity to work with the most innovative and progressive company in our sector, we will offer you excellent rates of pay, an industry-leading professional development and training program as well as the chance to build a career in professional sports coaching.
You'll need to be reliable, committed to delivering to the highest standards, suitably qualified yet keen to progress and very good at what you do. You will also ideally have a car and be willing to travel to areas of the West and Central Hertfordshire region. Finally, you will need to have experience coaching children of Primary School age and ideally have a Hertfordshire enhanced CRB, although Sports Xtra can process this.
 

If you are interested in boosting your coaching qualifications and furthering your career opportunities, we also have a number of year long Apprenticeship Schemes. These newly introduced Apprenticeship places will offer you the chance to get paid whilst earning a National Vocational Qualification. Places are limited, so please send in your CV quickly.

Due to a high demand for our services, we have opportunities and suitable hours to suit most people's circumstances. We are currently looking for coaches to deliver the following sessions:
Gymnastics & Dance: We have several opportunities for specialist dance and gymnastics teachers. In terms of dance styles we are particularly seeking street dance and cheerleading instructors.

Multi-Sports Coaching: We offer schools a wide variety of sports coaching sessions, including traditional and non-traditional sports such as fencing and martial arts. All our coaches must be capable of delivering high quality sessions in a range of different sports.
Spy School: This exciting and innovative product takes young people on a journey and develops their skills to become a spy! The programme developed for ks1 and 2 attracts young people who do not ordinarily take part in sport. Coaches must be confident and have a good imagination to set the scene.

Xtra Healthy: This programme educates young people on the importance of healthy lifestyles and on their body and how it develops. Coach must have a reasonable scientific knowledge, be enthusiastic, fit and healthy.
