Gymnastics has been part of the Olympic programme since the first Games of the modern era in 1896. Gymnasts compete in both individual and team all-around events for Rhythmic and Artistic whilst the Trampoline discipline comprises of only men’s and women’s individual events.
At Tokyo 2020, Max Whitlock clinched his sixth Olympic medal with pommel horse gold. The Great Britain women's team also achieved a bronze medal in the team event. Bryony Page took home a bronze medal in the individual trampoline event.
