PLx 2026: Building Competitive Advantage Together
Challenge. Build. Test.
Sharing insight and enhancing readiness for LA 2028 and beyond.
PLx continues to be the UK high performance system's flagship learning and development event, bringing together leaders, coaches, practitioners and partners from across Olympic and Paralympic sport to learn, challenge and prepare for the future.
As we enter a critical phase of preparation for LA 2028, success will depend not only on excellence within individual sports, but on our collective ability to challenge assumptions, strengthen capability and make better decisions under pressure. PLx 2026 will bring together the high performance community to explore one central question: How do we know we're ready?
Challenge. Build. Test.
Over three days, participants will be invited to challenge the assumptions, behaviours and decisions shaping performance; build the people, plans, partnerships and capabilities required for LA 2028 and beyond; and test readiness through rehearsal, peer learning, honest reflection and evidence-based decision making.
The answers will not come solely from the stage. They will come from the experience, expertise and contribution of the people in the room as we work together to strengthen collective readiness, connect across boundaries and create the conditions for the whole system to move with speed, awareness and shared purpose.
Together, we will build on the knowledge, expertise and insight that exists across the community, while identifying the gaps and opportunities that will strengthen readiness. We will test plans, share learning, solve problems faster and explore how we need to show up as leaders to enable performance.
Who should attend PLx
PLx 2026 is for leaders, coaches, practitioners and partners from across the Olympic and Paralympic high performance community. Places are available by nomination from National Governing Bodies and are intended for colleagues who can contribute to, and benefit from, system-wide learning, connection and readiness for LA 2028 and beyond.
PLx Awards
The PLx Awards 2026 will celebrate the outstanding achievements of those who contribute to making extraordinary sporting moments happen. The awards dinner will take place on Tuesday 1 December and will feature eight categories showcasing individuals and teams across the high performance community who are making a positive impact.
If an individual or team comes to mind, find out more and nominate them for an award to celebrate their work. Please also share the awards nomination form with performance colleagues so we can capture the best and brightest from across the high performance community.
