We are delighted with today’s news that UEFA has selected the UK and Ireland to host UEFA EURO 2028. As the UK’s major event agency our team has been at the heart of what is a unique and pioneering collaboration across five football associations and government partners which now promises to deliver one of the most innovative, diverse and sustainable major sporting events we’ve seen.

Benefits of Major Sporting Events
There are well publicised benefits of hosting major sporting events, including the economic boost nationally and locally, their ability to attract foreign investment, and as a catalyst to drive social and community benefit.
In 2022, major sporting events (excluding the Commonwealth Games) had a direct economic impact of £132 million, supported 1,600 jobs and had a 6:1 return on investment.
Looking ahead, UEFA EURO 2028 has the potential to turbo charge positive change and is predicted to generate cumulative socio-economic benefits of up to £2.6 billion across the five nations. In addition:
