Medals & More: A Conversation with Dame Katherine Grainger - Season 2 Episode 3

Published 16 December 2020

Listen to the third episode of season two here.

Welcome to the third episode of season two of Medals & More, the podcast taking you behind the scenes of British Olympic and Paralympic sport.

Hosted by Dame Katherine Grainger , Britain’s most decorated female Olympian and Chair of UK Sport,  Medals & More   will inspire, engage and educate you with insights and stories from the Olympic and Paralympic system.

In the final episode of 2020, Katherine takes a moment to look back on what has been a challenging year for many people within the wider sporting sector, but also hears from three special guests about what they have taken from adversity.

Following UK Sport's successful virtual annual PLx conference last month, in which the high-performance sporting community came together for a week of insight, learning, collective challenge and reflection, this episode of Medals & More features three of the leading speakers from the event.

British Triathlon Performance Director Mike Cavendish talks about the advances in technology seen in his sport as a result of COVID, British Taekwondo President and former athlete Sarah Stevenson discusses the importance of athlete representation in senior positions and England Rugby Director of Performance Conor O’Shea discuses what makes a successful high performance team.

Listen below for a whole lot more from Mike, Sarah and Conor and don’t forget to subscribe and join us in the New Year as we continue to bring you more insights from the world of high-performance sport.
