On the final day of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Great Britain are guaranteed at least one more medal from the last Brit in action at the Games, Joe Joyce. The super-heavyweight boxer fights for gold against Tony Yoka of France, and will be the final athlete to add to an already record breaking medal tally.
Brothers Callum and Derek Hawkins are joined by Tsegau Tewelde, who qualified for Rio by finishing 12th in the London Marathon, in the men’s marathon, while Grant Ferguson, with 6 podium finishes at the under-23 level of UCI World Cups, UCI World Championships and UEC European Championships under his belt, goes in the cross-country mountain bike.
The closing ceremony begins at midnight and marks the end of the Rio Olympics and hands over to Tokyo for the 2020 Games. More details of highlights throughout the day are below (times denoted are BST).
