The UK Coaching Awards 2014,supported by Gillette, celebrates the role and performances of coaching and coaches at every level, from community coaches to elite coaches. Gillette’s support of the UK Coaching Awards follows its partnership with sports coach UK as part of the Gillette Great Starts’ campaign.
Categories include the High-performance Coach of the Year and Performance Development Coach of the Year.
Anyone can nominate so make sure you don’t miss the chance to recognise that special coach that has helped an athlete or team succeed at the highest level, or has been crucial to the development of a talented athlete or group of players. Previous winners of the High-performance Award include Jessica Ennis-Hill’s coach Toni Minichiello, David Weir’s coach Jenny Archer and Lions and Wales coach Warren Gatland.
Rowing coach Paul Stannard and netball coach Jan Crabtree are among former winners of the Performance-development gong.
To celebrate a very special year of sport for Scotland, the 2014 Awards will be held in the City Chambers, Glasgow on 19 November. sports coach UK is grateful to the Lord Provost and the City Council for their support in hosting the event, which is being held outside London for the first time.
The deadline for nominations is 26 September.
