British Equestrian Federation (BEF) World Class Performance Director Will Connell MBE has announced he is to leave the programme after this year’s Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
Commenting on his departure, UK Sport Chief Executive Liz Nicholl said: "On behalf of UK Sport I would like to thank Will Connell for the huge contribution he has made to British Olympic and Paralympic sport in his 11 years with the BEF.
"Will has overseen a golden era for British Equestrianism; the team consistently winning medals on the biggest stage, making the country proud, at successive Games under his charge.
“Will has also made a significant contribution to the GB high performance system as an experienced member of the Performance Directors’ Forum.
"We wish Will all the best in his new role and have every confidence that the BEF will continue to succeed by applying the winning formula that is embedded amongst their athletes, coaches and support staff.”
