Sarah Storey took to the velodrome on the first day of action at the London 2012 Paralympic Games one year ago today.
Her win in the C5 pursuit - setting her 72nd career world record - kick-started the ParalympicsGB gold rush and opened the floodgates for another 119 medals. Sarah went on to win an incredible four gold medals at London 2012, the most decorated GB female Paralympian in history.
Earlier in the day, Mark Colbourne won silver in the C1-3 1km time trial.
