Day 11 of the London 2012 Olympic Games was a landmark occasion for Great Britain.
When Alistair Brownlee won the triathlon gold and younger brother Jonny won bronze, Great Britain secured a landmark for Team GB - winning medals in more sports than Beijing 2008. The triathlon became the 12th sport at London 2012 to win a medal for Team GB.
Later in the same day, Robbie Grabarz won a spectacular bronze in the high jump final, meaning Great Britain surpassed their medal total from Beijing and achieved their best medal haul in 104 years.
Alistair's gold was Team GB's 19th of the games - equalling the total number of gold medals won in Beijing - while Robbie's bronze in the high jump was their 48th medal in total.
