It's Medal Mania as the Games Come to an End

THE COMMONWEALTH Games drew to a close last night in Manchester, and the final weekend of action saw a host of medals for the home countries.

Among the highlights was World Class Performance Programme athlete Sue Gilroy who took Gold in the Elite Athlete with Disability – Open Wheelchair, Table Tennis event. However, most eyes were on the pool where the home countries claimed an unprecedented 21 medals between them – five of them Gold.
