Job Description: The West Yorkshire League, an established Regional Feeder League, is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to the position of League Chairperson.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest for grassroots football to play a pivotal role in the operation of the League.

The Chairperson will provide leadership and direction to the League Management Committee meetings, ensuring the business on the agenda is discussed openly.

THE ROLE
The successful candidate will provide support to the League Management Committee, working collaboratively with League officers. .
Key responsibilities will include:
Chairing League Management Committee meetings, the Annual General Meeting and other appropriate meetings.
Working closely with the General Secretary and other League officers to ensure the efficient operation of the League.
Promoting good governance, transparency, accountability and compliance with League Rules and relevant FA regulations.
Helping to resolve issues and challenges fairly, impartially and constructively.

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:
The ability to chair meetings effectively and encourage constructive discussion and decision-making.
The ability to work collaboratively with committee members, clubs and football authorities.
An understanding of grassroots football and the challenges facing clubs and leagues.
Previous experience in football administration, club management, committee leadership or a similar governance role would be advantageous.
However, applications from individuals with relevant leadership experience and transferable skills outside football are also welcomed.
