Operational Support Intern

Vinco Sport Ltd
Organisation
Vinco Sport Ltd
Salary
£12.71 per hour
Location
Wilmslow, UK
Contract type
Paid Internship (Full time)
Closing date
31 January 2027
Job Description
Duration: April to the end of August
Location: Wilmslow, UK
Hours: Typically Monday - Friday, 9am to 5:30pm with a thirty minute lunch break. There may be weekend or event based work that would alter the hours required.

Vinco Sport Ltd is looking for an organised and reliable intern to support the delivery of live sports broadcasts. Working behind the scenes, you’ll help prepare broadcast equipment, keep project information accurate and provide the practical support our production teams need before, during and after events.

This is an opportunity to learn how sports broadcasting works and gain experience in the operations that help bring live sport to audiences.

About the role

You’ll support our broadcast and production teams as they prepare for and deliver coverage of sporting events. Tasks will vary across projects, so a flexible approach and willingness to get involved are essential.

Your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing, checking and packing broadcast equipment, such as cameras, microphones, cables and accessories, with guidance from the team.
- Checking equipment back in after events, updating inventories and reporting missing or damaged items.
- Entering data and maintaining accurate broadcast schedules, equipment lists and project records.
- Helping organise crew information, travel arrangements and production paperwork.
- Assisting with equipment deliveries, collections and preparation for upcoming broadcasts.
- Providing practical support at sporting venues, including helping with setup and pack-down under supervision.
- Supporting colleagues with other administrative and operational tasks needed to keep broadcast projects running smoothly.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has an interest in sport and how live broadcasts are produced.
- Is organised, dependable and pays attention to detail.
- Takes care when handling equipment and entering information.
- Is comfortable using email, spreadsheets and other everyday digital tools.
- Communicates clearly, follows instructions and asks questions when unsure.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to help with varied tasks.
- Can adapt to changing priorities in a busy live sports environment.
Previous broadcasting experience is not essential. Experience from education, part-time work, volunteering or personal projects is welcome. Training and guidance will be provided for unfamiliar tasks and equipment.

What you’ll gain

- Experience behind the scenes of live sports broadcasting.
- Practical skills in broadcast equipment preparation, production administration and event support.
- An understanding of how crews, equipment and schedules come together to deliver live coverage.
- Guidance and feedback from the broadcast and production team.
How to apply
Please email jobs@vincosport.com and attach your CV as a single PDF named surname-firstname.pdf. In your covering note, tell us why you’re interested in working behind the scenes in sports broadcasting. Include an example of when you helped organise something, kept accurate records or supported a team. This could be from education, work, volunteering or everyday life. Then, in no more than three sentences, explain how you would check that equipment and paperwork were ready before a broadcast crew left to cover a sporting event. You don’t need technical broadcasting knowledge - we’re interested in your approach to preparation and organisation. We welcome applications from everyone. If you need adjustments at any stage of the process, tell us, and we will make them.
