Job Description
At The FA, we're committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, develop and perform at their best.

As part of our Talent team, Learning & Development plays a critical role in helping colleagues build skills, grow their careers and contribute to the future success of football in England. We're on an exciting journey to evolve our learning offer, introduce new development opportunities and create a stronger culture of continuous learning across the organisation.

We're now looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join us and help bring this ambition to life.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a learning professional who is passionate about helping people develop and grow.

Working closely with the Learning & Development Manager, you'll support the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our learning and development offer. You'll play a key role in increasing engagement with learning, developing new programmes and creating opportunities that help colleagues build skills, broaden their experience and achieve their career aspirations.

From supporting the implementation of a new learning platform to helping establish a coaching and mentoring framework, you'll contribute to a wide range of initiatives that shape how learning is experienced across The FA.

What You'll Be Doing

Create engaging learning and development initiatives that support organisational and individual capability.
Promote and communicate the L&D offer, driving awareness, participation and engagement across the organisation.
Manage the planning, coordination and evaluation of learning programmes and events.
Support the implementation and optimisation of our learning management system and wider learning technology, helping to embed more blended learning solutions.
Input to the design of learning solutions, workshops and development activities, increasing the amount of learning delivered internally.
Help develop and embed a coaching and mentoring framework that supports career growth and knowledge sharing.
Support the development of apprenticeship and early careers opportunities for both new and existing employees.
Contribute to learning pathways and mandatory training frameworks, including solutions for our casual workforce.
Facilitate internal development opportunities, including mentoring, projects and cross-functional experiences that broaden capability and careers.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners to ensure learning solutions deliver meaningful impact.
Use data to evaluate programmes and continually improve the L&D offer.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting or delivering learning and development initiatives within a professional environment.
Strong communication and skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels.
Experience designing, adapting or delivering learning content.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Commercial awareness, with the ability to monitor budgets and interpret financial information.
Confidence using learning systems and technology to enhance the learner experience.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a passion for helping others develop.
Curiosity, creativity and a continuous improvement mindset.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the future of learning and development at The FA.

You'll work on a broad range of initiatives, from learning technology and apprenticeships to coaching, mentoring and internal mobility, helping to create meaningful development opportunities for colleagues across the organisation. You'll be part of an ambitious Talent team and have the chance to build, influence and innovate as we continue to evolve our people development offer.

We are committed to ensuring everyone can flourish in their roles. To achieve this, we have unique office spaces under the arch of the iconic Wembley National Stadium, which is the home of English Football. We are also delighted to offer a world-class, Elite Performance Centre, St. George's Park in Staffordshire, which is an exceptional setting to develop and inspire high-performing England teams and leaders.

We pride ourselves on offering a competitive salary as well as great opportunities to develop and grow in your role. But that is not all; we also have a range of exciting benefits, some of which can be found below:

Access to event day tickets at Wembley Stadium, alongside a host of regular internal events throughout the season, encourages you to connect and learn with your colleagues and look after your mental health and well-being.
Free, nutritious lunches at Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park.
Private medical cover funded by The FA.
A contributory pension scheme.
An additional 'Thank You' day's leave, volunteering days, as well as 25 days of annual leave (based on a full-time, permanent contract)
A hybrid working model which offers greater flexibility.
