Lead a World Class Programme. Shape the future of Paralympic success.

British Para Table Tennis is seeking an exceptional leader to become its next Performance Director and lead the World Class Programme through to the Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games and beyond.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing para sport programme with a proud history of international success and a strong platform for future growth. Reporting to the CEO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the World Class Programme, creating the conditions for athletes and staff to thrive and achieve sustained success on the world stage.

About Sport Org and British Para Table Tennis

Sport Org is a new multi-sport performance organisation, developed to strengthen the UK’s high-performance system by delivering world-class programmes on behalf of and in collaboration with national governing bodies. It provides the robust performance leadership, governance, financial management, corporate support and shared services needed to help publicly funded Olympic and Paralympic programmes thrive in an increasingly challenging environment. British Para Table Tennis operates within the Sport Org umbrella as one of its elite World Class Programmes: its performance ambitions, sport-specific identity, and expertise remain central, while Sport Org provides the organisational framework, leadership and accountability for UK Sport investment. This model enables British Para Table Tennis’s athletes, coaches and performance staff to focus on delivering sustained Paralympic success, supported by a stable, efficient and collaborative high-performance environment

About the Role

As Performance Director, you will:

Lead the long-term performance strategy and vision for British Para Table Tennis through to Brisbane 2032 and beyond.

Drive the delivery of an athlete-centred, ethically driven high-performance culture where people can perform at their best.

Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including coaching, pathway, operations and performance support staff.

Oversee a world-class athlete pathway that identifies, develops and progresses athletes towards international success.

Build trusted relationships with athletes, coaches, UK Sport, UKSI, the British Paralympic Association, Table Tennis England and international partners.

Contribute as a senior leader across the wider organisation, helping shape strategy, culture and future investment.

About You

You will be an experienced high-performance leader with a proven track record of delivering results in complex sporting environments.

You will bring:

Significant senior leadership experience within Olympic, Paralympic or other international high-performance sport environments.

A demonstrable record of delivering medal success or sustained performance improvement at world-class level.

The ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and create environments where people can flourish.

Strong strategic, operational and financial leadership skills.

Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, from board level to athlete level.

A deep commitment to athlete welfare, safeguarding, inclusion, integrity and ethical high-performance sport.

Experience in table tennis is welcomed but not essential. We are interested in leaders who can bring fresh thinking, strong performance expertise and a passion for creating sustainable success.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to:

Lead one of the UK's most successful Paralympic programmes.

Shape the future of athletes, staff and the wider performance system.

Influence the direction of the programme through two Paralympic cycles.

Create a lasting legacy through people, culture and performance.

Be part of a values-led organisation committed to trust, respect, togetherness, belief and fair play.

Apply

If you are an ambitious and inspiring leader with the vision, credibility and drive to lead British Para Table Tennis into its next chapter, we would love to hear from you.

Application closing date: 9am Monday 16th November 2026
First-stage interviews: Thursday 3rd December 2026 (Online)
Final-stage interviews: Thursday 17th December 2026 (In-Person – UK)
