Job Description
The Department
Our Technology team plays a vital role in supporting every area of the Club, providing the systems, infrastructure and innovation that help drive performance on and off the pitch. From supporting matchday operations and elite sporting environments to enhancing the experiences of supporters, partners and colleagues, the team delivers reliable, secure and forward-thinking technology solutions across the Club.

As the Club continues to grow and invest in its digital capabilities, we are looking to expand our Technology team with a number of exciting opportunities across different specialisms. This is a unique chance to play a key role in shaping the future of technology at the Club.

The Role
Working as a Technical Support Engineer, you will support the day-to-day operation of end-user technology and IT services and play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality IT support to the Club’s football operations, with a primary focus on the Academy and Women’s team.

Acting as a trusted technology partner to players, coaches and support staff, you will ensure that critical systems, devices and services remain available and effective in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

You will provide responsive technical support across Microsoft 365, end-user devices, collaboration tools, identity and access management, networking and workplace technology, taking ownership of incidents and service requests through to resolution. Supporting both Windows and Apple environments, you will help maintain secure, compliant and well-managed technology services while delivering an excellent user experience.

Based primarily at Bodymoor Heath, you will act as a key point of contact for football staff, providing discreet and time-sensitive support during training, match preparation and day-to-day operations. You will also contribute to technology projects, service improvements, knowledge sharing and documentation, while working collaboratively with the wider Technology team and providing additional support to the Men’s First Team when required.

For further information about the Role, please see the Role Profile.

The Person
We are looking for a customer-focused and proactive IT professional with experience in a Service Desk, technical support or end-user technology environment. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft 365, endpoint technologies, identity and access management, and common networking concepts, alongside a passion for delivering excellent support and developing your technical expertise.

Utilising excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you will be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, effectively prioritise competing demands and work independently within a busy operational environment
You will possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows devices, mobile technology and endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune. An understanding of ITIL principles and IT Service Management processes is essential, alongside knowledge of endpoint security, user access management and common networking technologies.
You must be able to work flexibly as the role requires working matchdays, evening and weekends as and when required. You must also hold a full, UK driving licence and have the ability to travel between Club sites.
