Bolton-raised Technologist Ismail Amla is an experienced leader in the Consulting and Professional Services industry; According to the Financial Times he is recognised as one of the top most influential Black, Asian and minority ethnic leaders in the UK tech sector. His currently leads the global Consult Business for Kyndryl and has also held senior leadership positions at NCR, Capita, IBM, Capco and Accenture.
Ismail is also on the boards of UK Sport, Network Rail and Bradford Literature Festival. In 2016 he received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration (Hon DBA) for his outstanding contribution to business from the University of Bolton. Ismail was a member of the Weissman Centre’s Advisory Council at Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York. He also served on board of governors at the University of East London.
In 2020, Ismail Amla co-authored a book with American technology entrepreneur and academic, Vivek Wadhwa, titled From Incremental to Exponential: How Large Companies Can See the Future and Rethink Innovation.
