UK Sport has announced that London Wasps scrum-half Simon Amor is to join its Performance Advisor team in June.

In his Performance Advisor role, Amor will work with a portfolio of Olympic and Paralympic sports to maximise the impact of UK Sport’s investment into their World Class Performance Programmes.

Using UK Sport’s Mission 2012 framework, Performance Advisors work closely with key national governing body personnel to capture, measure and challenge the day to day programme delivery and provide performance solutions to drive improvements in overall results.

Liz Nicholl, UK Sport’s Director of Elite Sport said:

“At this exciting time for British sport, we look forward to welcoming Simon to further strengthen our team. Simon brings extensive experience of being part of a winning team in high performance sport to the role, that will undoubtedly benefit the sports he works with as they strive for success in Beijing, Vancouver, London and beyond.”
