Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an Exercise Physiologist to contribute to the delivery of sports science support services provided by the Scottish Institute of Sport to Tayside & Fife Institute of Sport.  Our service provision goal is to technically link our Institute and Area Institute delivery of sports science support and assist our overall objective to build a world class support system in Scotland focused upon medal success.  We are also seeking to appoint an Exercise Physiologist who can develop the Institute’s exercise physiology support programme in golf.

The successful applicants will:

• Contribute to the national delivery and network management of exercise physiology services within Tayside and Fife Institute of Sport and the Scottish Institute of Sport with a particular focus in golf.
• Be responsible for exercise physiology support and delivery to identified and prioritised Tayside and fife institute of sport athletes and sports.
• Provide an integrated and quality assured exercise physiology delivery service within Tayside and Fife Institute of Sport.

the successful applicant should have:

• Recognised post-graduate experience in providing exercise physiology support to performance athletes in golf and other sports.
• PhD or Masters Degree with major study in the exercise physiology area.
• Experience of developing and delivering laboratory, field and sports specific assessments.
  BASES performance sport accreditation (or working towards accreditation).
